Day 4

After chilling and making pancakes in the park, we rode up the winding canyon road towards Ellensburg. We then stoped to fix Silvan’s second flat tire, which he got about two pumps into trying to further inflate his tires. We fixed it in the dark on the side of the road and then we found a chill campsite where we set up our tents.

After riding a smooth 40 miles of steady downhill into Yakima, we stayed in a park and hid from the heat for a while. I went shopping while Silvan watched our stuff. When I returned, all of the stuff that I had laid out to dry was under my emergency blanket/tarp. The sprinklers were spraying.
Due to high winds, cooking pancakes was a challenge that we overcame. We stored extra pancakes in my very large pot for later. We also ate a watermelon, and drank a half gallon of chocolate milk.
Overall a great birthday!

Tour biking is less fun without morning yoga.

Gnarly bike placement!!!

I woke up and got some presents from my family that Silvan had been carrying for the first three days to give to me. I got a glass jar of Nutella, a card, and two giant Toblerones. Thanks fam!
