DAY 18

Thanks for the ride Josh!!

After spending the night with some friends in Ashland I am getting a ride with my dad up to Cottage grove where I will briefly ride a Bikeway, and then I will get a quick ride the rest of the way to Eugene where I will be staying with some other friends. I will get rid of my tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and solar panel (it won’t be useful in the rain). My plan from here to Portland is to use the warm showers app (an app that alows people on tour biking adventures to contact hosts and get anything from lawn space for a tent to a guest room and breakfast) to stay in beds the last two nights of my tour. I will work hard to keep my hands warm and as dry as they can be (they are improving, but are still red and inflamed), and ride out the last couple of days of my tour!
